What does this adapter do? The Blitzsafe BMW/AUX DMX V.1 DSP allows you to add any auxiliary audio source (iPod, Rio, DVD, ect.) to your compatible, DSP equipped, factory installed audio system. This auxiliary audio input interface will allow you to add in the audio from any headphone output or low level device such as an MP3 player, DVD player, game systems, etc by selecting the external CD changer option directly from the factory radio. The input on the interface is a pair of RCA style connectors that can be easily converted using any RCA to headphone jack cable. The volume and tone can be adjusted from the factory radio. The Blitzsafe BMW/AUX DMX V.1 DSP requires that your vehicle is equipped with factory DSP.
If present, your rear mounted CD Changer must be disconnected to use this device.
The Blitzsafe BMW/AUX DMX V.1 DSP connects to the 3 pin and the coaxial cables(s) in the rear of the vehicle. (NOTE: The center wire in your 3 pin connector MUST be RED and not GRAY. If your wire is GRAY, you have located the wrong connector.) What do you get in the package?
