What does this adapter do?

The PIE FRD04-POD/S allows you to connect your iPod Mini, G4, Nano, or Video, to your compatible factory installed audio system. With the PIE FRD04-POD/S, you can control many iPod functions from your factory radio, steering wheel controls or the iPod's own clickwheel. Your factory radio will display some ipod information and your iPod's battery will charge while connected.

PIE's iPod adapters feature connectors supplied BY APPLE, and PIE is authorized by Apple to manufacture iPod compatible devices!

  • Your vehicle must be Satellite Radio-ready, but if the Satellite Radio or RSE is present, it must be disconnected. The PIE FRD04-POD/S will NOT work if the RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) system is present.
  • Your radio MUST have a button labeled 'AUX' to use the PIE FRD04-POD/S.
  • ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH THE FOLLOWING RADIO MODEL NUMBERS IN 2006-2007 FORD F-250 AND F-350 VEHICLES: 6C3T-18C869-AB AND 6C3T-18C869-AD.

    • Where is the installation done?

    The PIE FRD04-POD/S connects to the 16 pin Satellite Radio Connector at the rear of the factory radio.
