What does this adapter do?

The PIE UNI-POD allows you to connect your iPod to any available auxiliary audio input with RCA connectors in your vehicle. This adapter allows you to charge your iPod through its dock connector, and it offers adjustable audio level controls so that you can match the iPod's audio output to other audio sources in your system.
